Dean is a fourth year Business major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo concentrating in marketing and consumer packaging. He has always focused on being environmentally friendly and hopes to one day start a successful company that creates eco friendly plastic substitutes for products and packaging. His father is a innovative inventor who has started multiple businesses and has patents in his name. likewise, Dean has a very creative and innovative mind always thinking of new ideas. In his free time you can find Dean doing various outdoor activities such as surfing, skateboarding, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking, camping, and playing the drums.
George is a fourth year Music major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He has been involved in numerous international projects, including the Armenia Tree Project and several others. George likes to spend his free time making music, philosophizing existentialism, and figuring out ways to help humanity.
Tessa is a fourth year Biological Science major at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She is focusing her studies in the field of anatomy and physiology and hopes to pursue her dreams of becoming an OB/GYN. She grew up in Santa Barbara, CA where her passion for working in the health field began. She is an officer for Global Medical Brigades, San Luis Obispo chapter which focuses on international healthcare outreach and education, to help lessen disparities in underserved nations. Her interest in sustainable development came from her most recent trip to Honduras with Global Brigades. This quote from Dan Shechtman outlines her beliefs, “Sustainable development requires human ingenuity. People are the most important resource.”
Michelle Naziri, otherwise known as “Miche” is a 5th year Liberal Arts and Engineering Studies major, concentrating with electrical engineering and sound design at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Throughout her college education, she has been involved in Cal Polys radio station, KCPR, Associated Students Inc., and the Audio Engineering Society. She currently works at Bill Gaines Audio and Accessible Festivals. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys playing piano, DJing, cooking, hiking, and yoga. She is excited to learn about growing mealworms and hopes to gain knowledge of global relations and giving back to the community.
